Gravitas Analytics believes the privacy of personal data is of the highest importance. To support this we maintain a Privacy Policy which covers how we collect, transfer, store and use any personal information captured during your interaction with us and our website (www.gravitasanalytics.com). This document describes how we will do this and how we protect any personal data that we may hold.

Principles

Generally we do not collect large quantities of, or sensitive, personal data from website visitors, clients or prospective clients. Any personal data that we hold is strictly for the use of Gravitas Analytics only and will not be passed onto 3rd parties, unless you have expressly given us permission or requested us to do so.

  • We will keep your personal information secure, accurate, up-to-date and complete.

Gravitas Analytics strictly enforce privacy safeguards within the company and review data privacy governance measures regularly.

  • Gravitas Analytics is committed to complying with relevant data protection legislation, including; local legislation (including the Data Protection Acts of 1988 and 2003), current EU data privacy directives (95/46/EC, 1995) and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, 2018).

  • Gravitas Analytics is registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK and process your data in accordance with the ICO’s guidance.

Data collection

  • Usage - we collect usage information whenever you visit and interact with our website. This includes tracking the webpages you visit, what you click on, when you perform those actions, etc. If you arrive at our website from an external source (such as a link on another website or in an email), we record information about the source that referred you to us. We collect information from the device and application you use to access our services. Device data mainly means your IP address, operating system version, device type, system and performance information, and browser type. We use this data in aggregated reports to understand how visitors use the website and to help us improve access to its information and functionality.

  • Links - our website includes social media features and icons, such as the Facebook and Twitter share buttons. Use of these features may collect your IP address, detect which page you are visiting on our website, and set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the 3rd party providing these features. Our website may also include links to other websites. The privacy practices and policies of those other websites may differ from our own company practices. If you submit personal information to any of those websites, your information is governed by their privacy policy.

  • Enquiries - we may have data collection forms on our website, for example; when downloading whitepapers or subscribing to our newsletter. If you submit your details on these forms we will save the information, along with your submission history, in a separate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database. You may request that your details be removed any point in time, whereupon your personal data will be deleted. Information submitted via our Enquiry form may be used to make contact in relation to your request. We may use your information to contact you again in future if we believe we have an offer that may be relevant to you.

  • Subscriptions - if you subscribe to our newsletter we record and save your name and email address. Gravitas Analytics may use a 3rd party bulk email distributer to send email newsletters. If so, we will transfer the necessary information to them for processing in accordance with their Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Gravitas Analytics currently uses the following distributer: N/A. We will track and store newsletter ‘opens’ and ‘clicks’ on the 3rd party platform and use this information to give us an indication of content usage and popularity which will help us make decisions about future content and relevance. You may unsubscribe from receiving any regular Gravitas Analytics communications at any point in time, whereupon your personal data will be deleted.

  • Clients - should you become a paying client of Gravitas Analytics, we will request additional information from you, such as contact and billing details. This information will be used to enable the provision of our contract-based services to you. We may display testimonials, case studies or other endorsements on our website. With your consent, we may post your testimonial along with your name. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial or any other endorsement, please contact us directly.

  • Sharing - any personal data that we hold is strictly for the use of Gravitas Analytics only and will not be passed onto 3rd parties, unless you have expressly given us permission or requested us to do so. We may collect personal information or data from you via. 3rd parties if you give permission to those 3rd parties to share your information with us. We may also collect personal information about you when you interact with us using social media, such as; posting material to our LinkedIn page.

Data usage

We only collect and retain the information that is reasonably necessary for our business to function effectively, including providing you with the services you would expect from a professional, growing company. Dependent upon your relationship with us (eg. contracted client or prospective client), we may need to contact you via email, mail or telephone to tell you about changes to our products, services, terms, conditions, pricing or policies. Outside of this we may use your personal information for reasonable and legitimate proportionate marketing activities:

We will use contact information to respond to your enquiries, send newsletters, share best practice, advise and inform about products, services and activities that are specific and relevant to your organisation and role. We may use your download and/or purchase history (eg. whitepapers, resources, contracts etc.) to tailor products and services to best meet your needs and interests.

We will limit the use of your data and associated communications so that your privacy is respected and only legitimate contact is made. Our aim is to make sure that any communication from us is relevant and of value to our clients / prospective clients, while ensuring that use of personal data is limited and protected.

Your personal data will never be sold or forwarded on to 3rd parties unless you have expressly given us permission or requested us to do so.

The security of any personal information is very important to Gravitas Analytics. Your data is confidential and we take all reasonable steps to ensure that your information is handled securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once it’s received. Changes

Policy - we reserve the right to make changes to our Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted on this website 30 days prior to such changes becoming effective.

Control - in the event of the acquisition or closure of Gravitas Analytics, the control of your personal data could transfer to a 3rd party as a company asset. Your data would remain subject to the terms set out in our privacy policy at the time of the transaction, until you are notified otherwise by the new controller / processor. Your rights detailed in the ‘Access to data’ section of this policy would remain unchanged.
